How to Lose Money in the Stock Market: a Complete Guide to Not Going Broke on Wall Street
The author's advice on avoiding losses in the stock market is simple and direct: don't invest in the stock market. According to Ringold, the financial markets are dominated by greedy and dishonest dealers whose aim in life is to separate hardworking, honest folks from their money. It scarcely takes a moment's reflection to note that this advice fails to recognize the benefits provided both directly and indirectly by the financial markets to citizens of capitalistic societies. Certainly investment risk is present, and better advice would have been to define the nature of that risk rather than, as Ringold does, to select examples of investment mistakes allegedly contrived by avaricious salespeople.
