Think Wednesdays are dull? Not in Max’s town. Mischief, magic, monsters: as fun as Roald Dahl. (And just as deliciously dark.) Every Wednesday, strange things happen in Max’s village. The townsfolk shutter their windows and hunker down to hide. This plague of peculiarities is known simply as ‘the Wednesdays’. No one knows what causes it. But when Max is trapped outside one Wednesday, he finds out. A tribe of strange silver-eyed boy-creatures obsessed with playing pranks. At first, they seem like fun, but they are also cruel and dangerous. And when a terrible secret is revealed, Max must put an end to the curse of the Wednesdays… or become one himself.
